JONAH

January 17 – February 7 9-10am
People from ALL ages and stages (pre-K, youth, singles, parents, senior citizens, etc.) are invited to come learn together as the family of God for a 4-week inter-generational, interactive Sunday School class on the book of Jonah. This class will be co-led by Elder-in-training, Cliff Sodergren, and Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Kristen Flores. We will kick off the first class on Jan. 17 with coffee and snacks at 8.45am and start teaching promptly at 9am.

Classes previously offered:

Work Matters: Designed For A Purpose

Phillipians: study of the main themes of Paul’s letters to the church at Philippi.

Families Seeking God’s Kingdom: Group discussions on the challenges and joys of living out Kingdom values in our families.

Ministries of Mercy: Deacon led discussion based on Tim Keller’s book.

The Promises of God: Teaching and discussion focused on one of New City’s Core Values.

The Person of Jesus: A Study in Love: Studied Jesus’ humanity based on curriculum by Paul Miller.

A Great Salvation: Study of how God enables us to believe in Christ and turn away from our sin, declares us righteous in His courtroom and adopts us into His family, renovates us so we are more like Christ, and enables us to finish the Christian race so we can reign with Him in the new heavens and new earth.

A Fly-by of the Old Testament: This 8-9 week class swept through the Scriptures to help you understand the big picture of the Bible, and the themes of each book so that you are better equipped to study the Bible on your own.

Tough Questions: Many people have reasonable questions that make it difficult for them to believe in Christ. How can a good and loving God allow evil? Aren’t all religions true? Doesn’t science disprove Christianity? Isn’t the Bible a book made by men?
