Spiritual Formation

Spiritual Formation

As God’s chosen people, we are called to love him with all of our heart and soul and mind and strength.  Together, we are called to follow Jesus as his disciples and ambassadors of his coming Kingdom.  Our desire is to be conformed into the image and likeness of Christ in every area of life.  In our fast-paced, fragmented culture, we can too often lose sight of the individual and corporate practices that help us to abide in Christ and bear Kingdom fruit.

The Spiritual Formation class focuses on how Christ is formed in us as we practice the disciplines of grace.  This class will introduce practices that have helped to shape God’s people such as prayer, fasting, meditation, scripture study, celebration, silence, Sabbath, and corporate worship.  These disciplines form us spiritually in our relationship with God and conform us to Christ-likeness as ambassadors of His kingdom.
